Relocation

There is no doubt that relocating to the Isle of Man is a significant event for you and your family and we aim to make your move as smooth as possible by undertaking the time consuming but necessary tasks that are easier said than done in an unfamiliar location.

We use our experiences of moving to the island and living here over the last 20 years to support you at every step of the way.

Once you’ve moved in our support doesn’t have to stop there. We offer a complete property management service for clients who leave their homes unoccupied for holidays or business purposes or simply prefer to have their homes or property investments taken care of by a professional organisation.

We have developed a network of service providers that range from removal companies to move your possessions to architects to re-design your chosen property so that we can offer you support right the way through the spectrum from moving in to making improvements. We are confident that we will save you valuable time and add efficiencies to your move ensuring that you receive the right service level at the best possible price.

We place the client at the heart of everything we do and therefore we are completely flexible in our service provision. It is possible to choose all or only a few elements of these options and we will provide these services to you. Of course if it’s not listed below please just ask and we will tailor a package to suit you.

Information on Local Services

• Firstly, we will provide you with personalised directory of local services, for example, but not limited to; doctors, dentists, schools, gyms, churches, children’s groups and leisure facilities.

• Secondly, we will provide a more general directory of services that you will need as you move to the Island, for example but not limited to; residency, work permits, taxation, re-register your vehicles, driving licenses.
  

Moving in Assistance

• Liaise with local utility companies to change services into your name, taking meter readings if necessary.

• Arrange appointments for services to be installed, e.g. broadband/phone/tv.

• Compile information pack for information relevant to your new home and location, e.g. doctors, dentists, schools, leisure facilities, refuse collection details and many other local services in your area.

• Provide an ‘Essentials’ Food and Provisions Hamper for your arrival (to your instruction & charged at cost).

• Be present throughout the moving in to assist with the setting up of your home (additional charge).

Move Management

• Obtain quotes from three independent removal contractors.

• Review contract terms and conditions making recommendation.

• Liaise with chosen company to organise removal date and relevant details.

• Be available on the day of moving in to deal with any problems, or

• Be present throughout the moving in to assist with the setting up of your home (additional charge).

• Review your move and deal with any issues that you raise.

• Payment of the invoice on your behalf.
  

Point 2 Point Orientation Tour

• From the Point of Ayre to the Sound we will be your guide around the Island. During the tour we will show you the main towns, places of beauty or local interest and facilities specific to your family’s interests. We will make arrangements to view some properties and/or schools that would meet your requirements.

• Our aim is to help you decide what part of the Island best suits your family. If you already have an idea then we will tailor the tour to help you develop your idea. Included is a high-level information pack to help you familiarise yourself with our lovely island.
  

Renting or Buying? - Home Finding Service

• Through our extensive network we will provide you with details of all suitable properties and will continue to search until you identify a suitable short list.

• We will provide any information you require regarding properties, e.g. the surrounding locality, particular pictures you may require, research of any particular issues you might require reviewing before you visit.

• Arrange and accompany you to view a property.

• Liaise with the agent as required to complete the formalities.
